1: The selection of normally open or normally closed brakes is mainly based on the magnitude of braking torque, working properties, and working conditions. For example, the lifting and luffing mechanisms of lifting machinery must use normally closed brakes; For the operation and rotating mechanisms of various vehicles and lifting machinery, in order to accurately stop, it is necessary to control the torque and use normally open brakes.

2: Consider the size of the space used. For occasions with sufficient space, external block brakes can be used. Space is limited, and usually belt type, disc type, or inner shoe type brakes are selected.

3: Select the type based on the function and working requirements of the brake. The structure of hydraulic brakes is not complex, and hydraulic cylinders are the main executing components of hydraulic brakes. They are energy conversion devices that convert the hydraulic energy of liquids into mechanical energy to achieve linear reciprocating motion or reciprocating oscillation of the working mechanism. Hydraulic brake hydraulic cylinders have a simple structure and reliable operation, and are widely used in various mechanical equipment.
